Review of Wimberley Farmers Market by TexasRealFood

The Wimberley Farmers Market is not for those used to the large, sprawling markets of big cities. Still, as it is the closest to Wimberley residents, it serves the purpose of providing residents who prefer to eat according to the season and buy local. The organizers admit that there are times when only a handful of vendors show up, but those who do always come with their freshest produce, and the selection is excellent. It’s a “small but mighty” farmers market, with “a surprising selection of seasonal produce, meats and food products”.

The market is a growers-only market and operates year round every Wednesday from 3:00pm to 6:00pm. There’s plenty of parking, and it’s conveniently located in front of the Wimberly Visitor Center.

Tip: The warmer months usually bring in more vendors and more choices.
