In the beginning, their efforts included water catchment. This method ensures that their plants can grow with the water supply they need. Today, the farm also grows herbs, tomatoes, peppers, and succulents. Also, they sell hanging baskets and succulent plant pots. If you plan to visit the farm, be sure to call ahead. They can make time for you and accommodate your schedule even if it is out of their regular working hours. Talk about dedication!

Jeff’s Aquaponics & Farm

Jeff's Aquaponics and Farm opened in November 2012. Since then, the small scale farm has improved through the different mishaps in aquaponics. Before beginning the farm, the owner had a complete hydroponic system. Unfortunately, the whole system was lost due to a hurricane in 2008. It was a blessing in disguise as it allowed the farmer to get rid of the mixing chemicals involved in hydroponics. Today, the farm produces pesticide-dree greens, lettuces, herbs, and veggies that they can offer fresh at the market. Moreover, the farm provides eggs from their happy chickens. Their chickens have lived in pastures for the rest of their lives.

Texas Dorper Lamb is a family-owned ranch, located near Center Point in the Texas Hill Country. A farm dedicated to selling high-quality Coastal Bermuda hay and Dorper breeding sheep livestock. Dorper is to Lamb what Angus is to Beef and they are the best breed for the meat! These are also 100% Dorper market lambs and packaged lamb cuts. Dorper is a single-purpose breed, developed specifically for premium meat characteristics. They do not produce as much lanolin as wool sheep but the flavor and aroma of the meat are milder than wool sheep meat. There are also abundant coastal hay, native grasses, and forbs on their place along the banks of the Guadalupe River which is very conducive to sheep. Raising “all-natural” lamb is the best way to achieve the highest quality product with the fewest negative impacts.
