The county of Terrell, located in the south-western region of the Texas state, was established and organized in 1905. It was named after Alexander Terrell, senator of the Texas state and a general of the Confederate. This county has been economically dependent on its ranching, hunting leases, oil, gas, and tourism industries; meat goats, Angora goats, sheep meat, wool, and beef cattle were its primary agricultural products. It also features numerous historical and recreational sites, that showcases its large number of canyons, trails, rivers, and wildlife. This county is also known as a good hunting area, especially for white-tailed and mule deer. It also hosts Snake Days every June and Cactus Pachanga every October. Furthermore, barbecue smokehouses, steakhouses, pizza parlors, and Tex-Mex restaurants dominate the area.
