Hive Bee Farm started when Annie Spratt bought their first two hives in 2016. She came to this decision after having spent a lot of her time reading books and joining different classes about bee care. Before even learning about bees, Annie has always enjoyed spending time in the garden. Growing orchids, flowers, and veggies in hot Houston has been her way to connect to her spirit. Her passion for nature has allowed her to link to other members of the community with the same wavelength. One day, she learned about her mentor's decision to move on to sustainable farming. She and her husband immediately talked to her mentor about it as they were interested in continuing his footsteps. From having two hives, they transitioned into 40.
