Using a family recipe that has been going on for three generations, Koots Jerky makes “top-quality meat” products like jerky, summer sausage, "slim tims," and some custom orders. Unlike the others, their jerkies are hand-cut from hindquarters and front shoulders, never just ground and pressed. There is no MSG added and all the smoke is generated by hickory wood, never liquid smoke. “All of the flavors” that they offer are “phenomenal” but their “black pepper, jalapeño, ghost pepper, and smoked cheddar cheese” are the classic favorites. “Black pepper is great for hiking, boating, or traveling” and “the smoked cheddar cheese” is something that you’ll be “totally hooked on” to. “Ghost pepper is just perfection in our book”; it is “hands down, the best jerky” y’all ever have.
