Theiss Farms Market Rayford started out as a weekend stand that "blossomed into a full time, 7-days-a-week market."  They were selling homegrown produce like corn, tomatoes, squash, beans, and greens.  Theiss Farms Market Rayford had since expanded its items for sale, including other fresh produce and vegetables, which they sourced from a Farmers Market in Houston.  From just about 15 homegrown products, to now more than 100 produce items, as well as canned goods, rustic furniture and plants.

Theiss Farms Market Stuebner started in a humble stand under a tree where they sold homegrown tomatoes. They expanded by adding the popular Summer Sweet corn and eventually added more homegrown vegetables and fresh fruits which they grew and harvested in their own farm. Having produced and sold to the Harris County and surrounding counties for over 158 years, the Theiss Family constantly innovated by adding a restaurant and expanded the Theiss Farms Market further by now having two branches and by adding more to their homegrown inventory with other locally sourced items and with items from the other parts of the United States or other countries, like jellies, jams, pickles, as well as other homemade and non-food items.

This place "is as good or better than the Galleria location, and much more conveniently located". Located in an eight-story development known as Pearl Marketplace. Already considered a "top-notch Whole Foods with the best hot bar in the Inner Loop area". "This location also has a much nicer sit-down/dine-in area compared to the Waugh and Kirby locations". Some add-ins include an Austin-based Briggo Coffee Haus “robotic barista” coffee machine and an Austin-based JuiceLand counter that offers a juice and smoothie bar where you can also order pre-made vegan meals.  

Whole Foods Market (365 Independence Heights)

You can even "grab a drink, walk the aisles and enjoy yourself". Also, "the bakery sells their cookies by the pound, so you can select and bag your favorites". Not to mention, "their deli salads are fresh and amazing". Plus, "the bread here is amazing and their hot breakfast bar is a must!"

Also, "you can order a specialty coffee, fresh pressed juice, beer on tap, sushi, pizza....all prepared right there while you wait". They also have "great customer service, plenty of options in stock, and of course bright and clean inside". "Their by-the-pound lunch buffet is pretty good and worth a trip if you're close by". Although, this is "not the place" for your "everyday groceries but really nice when you need something that is hard to find".

This can also be your "favorite breakfast place after church" especially since their "breakfast tacos are filling" too. "Also, Thursday night steak night or just hanging by the bar is relaxing". This is also the "best grocery store in town, partly because of the location near River Oaks, but also has the best-prepared food selection anywhere". The "special hot soups in the meat dept. no other WF has and the refrigerated section is chock full, also with chilled soups". The "personnel are cordial and helpful" plus the "fish and meat departments are exceptional" too. "Also has hot ready-to-eat stuff with a sandwich, pizza, and even an evening beer bar".

You will "love this place, and the vegan choices are out of this world". Try to have "some strawberry lemon vegan cake before leaving".
