Review of San Antonio Food Bank Farmers’ Market Association – St. Matthews Sports Complex by TexasRealFood

The St. Matthews Sports Complex branch of the San Antonio Food Bank (SAFB) Farmers' Market Association is one of the 13 locations that participates under the San Antonio Food Bank Farmers Market Nutrition Program (FMNP). They operate every Friday from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, all-year-round.

The San Antonio Food Bank (SAFB), established in 1980, aims to actively fight hunger in San Antonio and Southwest Texas. The food bank aims to provide "not only food for today, but also to give community members the resources to be self-sufficient in the future". The FMNP provides resources to qualified low-income women and children to purchase fresh locally grown produce using their FMNP vouchers at participating farmer’s market locations. Most of the produce sold at this market comes from the SAFB Farms.
