Neal’s Berry Farm in Waller, TX is a working farm. It features a “U-Pick” (pick your own fruits and vegetables) activity for the whole family. The farm opened in 2009 in Spring, TX. However, they moved to its present location starting in 2018. The kids will love walking up and down the farm’s rows of thorn-less berries and figs - the farm's main crops - to fill their own baskets. They also have some vegetables and zinnias available for U-Pick. The farm has secondary crops of peaches, nectarines, and other orchard fruits and vegetables but these are pre-picked and only available for sale at their farm stand located within the property. In the 1990s, Mike Atkinson, the 4th generation owner of Atkinson Farms, faced challenges competing with foreign-sourced produce. Together with his wife Theresa, they came up with a brilliant idea – selling their farm's food on-site. In 2000, they realized this vision by constructing an on-site grocery store. Visitors to the farm can enjoy not only retail produce but also "pick-your-own" activities during strawberry season, a hit with kids. Atkinson Farms also participates in various local farmers' markets, offering seasonal produce. Lone Star Organics uses certified organic wheatgrass seeds and add no chemicals of any kind. Located in Northwest Houston - south Magnolia/north Tomball area. They can meet you at "4 corners" - Hwy 249/FM2920 to deliver. They also have dewberries/blackberries in the spring, and figs in the summer, and mustang/natural wild grapes (with the seed) in the late summer.

The Nesting Box offers " farm-fresh, cage-free, daily grazing chicken eggs, turkey and duck eggs."  They are servicing Pearland and surrounding areas through their baby chicks, chickens, turkeys, quail, geese, and ducks.  Rabbits of all ages are also available, and "they make great pets!"  The Nesting Box has a website where you can order their products online. Sustainable Harvesters has a "state of the art facility with state of the art management". It is a "well-maintained farm, very educational and the team of guys" are "very informative". Their system also produces "beautiful lettuces and a TON of variety" and "cultivated with care as well". You can also have "an informative educational field lesson" with them about Aquaponic classes. Aquaponics combine Aquaculture (raising fish in a controlled environment) and Hydroponics (growing plants in a soilless environment).
