To encourage its community to buy local, the City of Dayton hosts the monthly Dayton Farmers Market at the Crossroads. Held each second Saturday of the month year-round, the Dayton Farmers Market features seasonal produce from various local growers. Market hours are from 8:00am to 11:00am.
The city actively promotes this monthly event on their official website and Facebook page. To entice attendance for the market, they also publish on the website the lineup of expected vendors for the coming market day, and feature them also on their Facebook page.
