Cottrell Country Farm, which is located in Blum, Texas, is an all-natural 25-acre farm that grows vegetables and raises bobwhite quails. As an all-natural farm, they use rainwater collected from totes to water the plants, and for pest control, they use neem oil. Besides fresh vegetables, the farm also produces and sells canned vegetables, like zucchini pickles, beets (Sweet Pickled Beets, Chunky Funky Beets, and Pickled Beets), and jams that go by the name Your Mother Should Know Carrot Pear Jam. They also sell loaves of freshly-baked bread, which is the perfect partner for the jam. The flavor of the bread comes from fresh ingredients like blueberries and cranberries, so if you are interested to buy from them, they have a booth at the Hillsboro farmers market. It is open every Saturday from 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM.
