Review of Pillar Bluff Vineyards by TexasRealFood

Pillar Bluff Vineyards is "an exceptional 'boutique' winery out in the wilds of Lampasas", on the northern edge of the beautiful Texas Hill Country. It has a "small tasting room but it is perfect with just the right amount of room". It is "homey" and it "lacks the pretentiousness of other wineries". The owner is "usually there and is always ready to sit and visit". "He and his wife" will "go out of their way to make you feel at home". All of the wines are "super but the reds and dessert wines" will "stand out" for anyone. Also, you can be "lucky" when "show up on a pizza day" since "Gil can cook almost as good as he makes wine". He is also a "beekeeper" so check out their "sweet supply of local honey".
