Rebecca Creek Whiskey is one of the first distilleries built in South Texas since prohibition. It is an "awesome place to just sit and relax drinking great tasting whiskey and vodka and listening to live music". They also "have a fenced dog area, yard games like corn hole and darts". They even "host trivia and karaoke!" Their Rebecca Creek Whiskey has "barrels spices and woody aromas". It also has "a touch of vanilla and dried herbs" that are "fairly subdued". Ben Milam Whiskey Distillery should include "women power" as an ingredient in their bottles. After years in the entertainment industry, founder Marsha Milam established Provision Spirits. She then named the distillery and its products after Ben Milam, a distant relative and a hero of the Texas Revolution. In 2017, without her knowledge, her head distiller submitted their single barrel bourbon in the 2017 San Francisco World Spirits. It went on to win a coveted Double Gold. The distillery repeated its win with a gold in the 2018 edition. In 2018, Marlene Holmes joined Marsha at Ben Milam as Head Distiller. Formerly from Jim Beam, she brings 27 years industry experience to the young distillery. Finally, in a casting coup of sorts, Marsha announced in early 2019 that world-renowned whiskey expert and author Heather Greene would join as CEO and Partner. Together, the three are launching the Milam & Greene Whiskies line.

Their Prickly Pear and Jalapeno Spirits fall into the official category of “Specialty Distilled Spirit”. Hill Country Distillers has a line of spirits which includes the Texas Revenge Gin and liqueurs which they call Texas Dulces. "They make great cocktails, have a wonderful concept, and give free tastings!!" With a "unique distillation and infusion process that gives plenty of flavor". Although, "what stood out the most is their coffee liqueur and the barrel aged cactus". "This is the place you have to visit when in Comfort", Texas. "They have beautiful outdoor grounds", "great atmosphere and relaxing", and they are pet-friendly too.

Ranger Creek Brewing & Distilling is the only “brewstillery” in Texas and they have won several awards already. When you visit, "don't be fooled by the somewhat nondescript surroundings". You "just open the door and your senses and warm welcome will let you know you are in the right place". The tour they offer is "the most informative" if you "have been on several brewery/distillery tours" already. You also "get to sample their whiskey and 2 of their full-size beers". Also, "for a small surcharge, you can also try two of their award-winning whiskey". They have "great choices for beer and the bourbons and rye are great". This is "a must stop when you're in San Antonio!"
