The US city of Bruceville-Eddy is located partly in Falls County and partly in McLennan County. The city’s population was 1,475, according to the 2010 census. The Bruceville-Eddy community began as Bruceville and Eddy, two separate settlements. The two communities would both later become stations on the Katy Railroad 1882. The town was named after Lucien Bruce. Bruce donated the land where the railroad station was built. Most of Bruceville’s residents had come from the Masterville community. On its part, Eddy was originally known as Marvin, but was renamed to Eddy after Everett B. Eddy in 1882 after the railroad arrived.
