Sitting in the beautiful Texas Hill Country, Harper, you can find The Artistic Farmer. Petra Richards owns and operates the farm. The Artistic Farmer raises fine fleece Angora goats, wool sheep, and unique gourds. Also, they grow, process, and artistically handcraft all of their products. Moreover, they make fiber art available at Fredericksburg Trade Days every 3rd weekend of the month. McMahon Ranch is a family-owned hobby farm and agritainment endeavor. It is currently in design mode. They offer several herbs including Cayenne pepper dust which "sounds good". This spice contains Cayenne Pepper and Sea Salt. There are also Jalapeno salt, Tomato powder, and Cayenne pepper flakes. They also have sunflower seeds and other vegetables. You can check their Facebook page for updates regarding their produce. They are sometimes found at the swap meet Saturday in Kerrville and also in the Kerrville Market where they sell vegetables.  

Texas Dorper Lamb is a family-owned ranch, located near Center Point in the Texas Hill Country. A farm dedicated to selling high-quality Coastal Bermuda hay and Dorper breeding sheep livestock. Dorper is to Lamb what Angus is to Beef and they are the best breed for the meat! These are also 100% Dorper market lambs and packaged lamb cuts. Dorper is a single-purpose breed, developed specifically for premium meat characteristics. They do not produce as much lanolin as wool sheep but the flavor and aroma of the meat are milder than wool sheep meat. There are also abundant coastal hay, native grasses, and forbs on their place along the banks of the Guadalupe River which is very conducive to sheep. Raising “all-natural” lamb is the best way to achieve the highest quality product with the fewest negative impacts.

Located in Llano, Apple Valley Orchard grows apples, berries, and much more on its 32 acres. There are over 500 apple trees at Apple Valley and plenty of all the best varieties. These include Gala, Fuji, Pink Lady, Mollies Delicious, Red Delicious, Granny Smith, Crispin, Jonagold and Candy Crisp. They also have blackberries, peaches, persimmons, figs and plums, but on a much smaller scale. You can also purchase honey, ice cream, homemade jams, essential oils, apple cider, and a variety of other items at their storefront. You will think that there is "nothing like getting some homemade apple cider straight from the Texas Hill Country". The orchard also has the boyhood farm home of Frank Hamer, legendary Texas Ranger responsible for tracking down Bonnie and Clyde.

Ahimsa Farm describes itself as "a small, chemical-free transitional organic farm on the Little Joshua Creek." They are located in Boerne, Texas. Ahimsa Farm sells free-range eggs and beautiful, healthy vegetables through its community-supported agriculture (CSA) program. Those supporting Ahimsa Farm's CSA pay $200.
