Satin, Texas is an unincorporated community in Falls County, Texas. The city was established in 1872 and it’s believed to have about 80 occupants at this point, since the last census on record was from the year 2000. Satin was supposed to be the name of the employee who worked on the local railroad. The town was known as Laguna and Cedar Point. As is often the case with the communities in this area. It peaked with the opening of the railroad all the way to the Great Depression and then most of the residents moved to find jobs elsewhere.
