To allow only the freshest and excellent products to the San Marcos community, Caskey Orchards has refused commercial marketing to achieve their perfect ripened peaches. It all started when the owner Sean Henry was able to grow an excellent Italian tomato, hydroponically, and without much effort. Upon realizing it, he has produced veggies using the method. Thus, Central Texas Specialty Growers was born. Currently, their specialties include basil, spring mix, superfood (cabbage/greens/mustard mix), baby kale, and various petite lettuces. Chickamaw Organic Farm & Ranch

In Choctaw (American Indian) language, 'chickamaw' means native, or sacred land. The Chickamaw Organic Farm & Ranch is the only certified biodynamic farm in Texas. This certificate means that the farmers focus on healing the farmland by nurturing it properly. This method is done so that in return, the farm can 'heal' us through the food it produces. According to the owner, everything they do to the soil, water, land, and animals matter a lot because it is what we also do to ourselves. Their cows also feature a unique coloration that is perfect for shows. Speaking of shows, their cows also have a show-quality conformation. Not to mention, the horns are stunning. Located on a 7-acre farm in Cedar Creek, Texas, Countryside Family Farm “raise, process, and sells happy and healthy animals” including duck, chicken, goose, rabbit, guinea fowl, pigeon, heritage pig, as well as capturing wild hog. All of these animals are raised in an “herbicide, pesticide, and chemical fertilizer free environment,” with their natural diets supplemented with a locally milled custom grain mixture that is free of growth hormones. Countryside Family Farm utilize their animals from nose-to-tail, creating an “extensive charcuterie line of sausages, rillettes, pates, terrines, mousses, cured meats, stocks, fats, etc.” They process all of their poultry on-site in a state licensed facility and the large animals at a local custom abattoir.

Back then, they only raised chickens. Eventually, they added ducks, guinea hens, geese, rabbits, and pigs. Their meat is butchered and handled by Sebastien, himself. Facebook reviews from customers generally say their meat quality is impeccable, fresh, and consistent. On weekends, you can catch them at Downtown Austin, Cedar Park, Sunset Valley, and Hope (East Austin) Markets. Most of the employees in this place have Down syndrome, autism, TBI or another condition. This 410-acre, entrepreneurial farm and ranch, is also "open to the public for shopping". "Apart from their nursery, they have a gift shop full of handmade products by their residents, fresh chicken eggs, naturally raised Wagyu-Angus beef and more". When you are passing by "Elgin, Taylor, Lexington or Coupland area", stop by Down Home Ranch. "The drive out is beautiful and their location is definitely worth stopping in and checking out".

Ryan, the owner of F-Stop Farms, makes the best pickled-veggies and sells the best hot peppers in Texas. At least, that's what his customers tell when asked about F-stop Farms. "Get his pickles; his pickles are great! His veggies are pretty tasty too."  Another reviewer commended Ryan's skills when it comes to gardening and cooking.
