With "beautiful location, great Ags and good wine", 2018 Besito, 2018 Blanc Du Bois, 2018 Pinky - Rosè of Black Spanish, 2017 Tempranillo, 2017 Petit Verdot, and 2017 Tannat are the wines they offer. This winery can be your new favorite. They are located on the 290 Wine Trail with spectacular views of the Texas Hill Country.  They have two underground tasting caves too.

    Blue Mule Winery is a "small and quaint" winery located on a hill north of Fayetteville, just two miles from Warrenton. When you enter the room, you will see "vintage photos on the walls". There are also "frozen wine mixtures" including "Peach Bellini or a Sangria Slushy" which is a good choice since they "are super refreshing in the Texas heat". Update: They now have a food trailer open from Friday through Sunday so you can now enjoy great food along with your wine when you visit on the weekends.

It is "a wonderful respite from the Texas heat; mostly filled with barrels, a small tasting bar up front, and a table that seats 8 for the winemaker's tastings in the back". The wine "is a great mix of old-world funk with deep soul" and "because of the high quality, the prices are higher". "But it is worth every cent. This is great wine!" and "they are dog-friendly" too.

    C.L. Butaud (pronounced C.L. ′byü tō) is a winery that features 100% Texas grapes. Their C.L. Butaud Tempranillo is an "excellent" example of their wines. You will notice that it does not have a "fruit bomb" taste but "your mouth is filled with delicious fruit". Once you taste it, you will notice that it "has a perfumed nose of black cherry, herb, green pepper". They also have other wines which you can enjoy especially if you are a wine club member. Their C.L. Butaud Rosé has soft aromas of blossom, red berry, and butterscotch. They make a few hundred cases of wine yearly and their wines are sold primarily to members of their mailing list.

    Whether you want to have a "nice weekend stop" or when you're on your way to Austin, The Colorado River Winery is "worth the stop if you're in need of a pour". They have a really "neat old building and rustic tasting room" in the Tuscan style where you can relax, taste, sip, swirl and purchase wines. They have "good tasting wines using a combination of local and outsourced grapes" such as the "Seasonal Bliss red table wine", the "smokey and rich" Cabernet or even the "Tempranillo red from a Texas grape". The owner is "very nice and also knowledgeable about the various brands offered". The winery keeps things fresh and fun by introducing different types of both red and white wines made in small batches.

All their wines ferment spontaneously with no commercial yeast strains added during fermentation. "A classy winery" that is also a "non-smoking venue so you take it the lovely fresh air of the hill country". A "beautiful winery" that "looks like a castle" and "look like they have been taken straight from Tuscany". You can "bring your own picnic and use their outdoor seating area". They offer "a great selection of whites and reds, mostly Italian varieties, with everything from dry to sweet so most wine drinkers will find something they like".  The staff is "very knowledgeable" about the different wines. They specialize in using both local Texas honey and varietal honey to make unique handcrafted meads via simple methods inspired by medieval and romantic traditions. You will find it "delightful" to drink their meads such as the "black current mead" which has an "extreme flavor". This only shows how "they truly care about their craft". They make meads "with wonderful flavors that you can't get enough of". You can buy meads online at their website.
