FridayDay Off!The Local Farmer is a business venture of two families. The idea is to have a farmers market-style business where locals can come in and experience what it is like to buy from local farmers and growers. From the outside, it looks like a modern family grocery store but inside, you will see that they carry local produce and products made by locals which you most probably won't see in commercial retail establishments that cater to big, national, and international brands. The Local Farmer takes it one step further and organizes The Downtown Market at The Local Farmer. This is a weekly farmers market. During this time of the month, The Local Farmer features not just produce and products, but the people behind them as well. They invite vendors to set up shop here, be it a table or a food truck, as long as they can give them space to display and sell their items, they are welcome. They are located in Mansfield, Texas.
