San Saba is only a town of about 3,000 but the Pecan Capital of the World shells around 28 million pounds of pecan annually. Bar D Brewhouse, meanwhile, offers a flight of up to eleven craft beers – count ‘em! Not bad for a small town! Bar D opened in 2011 when, after many years, Larry and Jerilyn Davis decided they wanted a change of pace from their jobs. Larry the brewmaster learned how to brew beer while Jerilyn had always been an excellent home cook. Together, they manage and operate the pub and restaurant, and also operate the Bar D Inn. Red Gap Brewing is a fantastic family friendly place to relax and enjoy a great beer! They have a desire to connect with the city of Cisco and surrounding areas by knowing the names and stories of those who walk in the doors. They strive to create a brand and a beer, that is gritty, true and honest. Although they may create a fancy beer every once in a while, Red Gap Brewing wants to create beer that appeals to the person who likes beer for beer. Their core beers includes “1878 Lager, a traditional American Lager; The General, an American Pale Ale; and Pretty Witty Amber, an Amber Wheat Beer.” The brewery also have seasonal offerings like Big Dam Porter, which is a very approachable 6% ABV. There is often a food truck outside and you can buy some food and bring it inside.

Located thirty-five minutes Southwest of Fort Worth in historic Granbury, Texas, Revolver Brewing is one of the fastest growing microbreweries in Texas. It is a family owned business founded by father and son, Ron and Rhett Keisler, along with seasoned Master Brewer and Cicerone, Grant Wood. They take extreme pride in “brewing world-class beer” in the Texas countryside. Their knowledge of brewing, hard work, and attention to each detail is evident in every beer they craft. Some of their offerings include “German-style pilsner, your Blood & Honey American ale, the citrus-forward Full-Tang IPA, and more.” They use fresh water from their own Trinity Aquifer well and brew their beer incorporating seasonal local ingredients. They also offer Saturday tours with tastings, live music & on-site food vendors.

Primal Brewing Company is heaven for people who enjoy beer. That is the long and short of it. If you are looking for something different compared to your regular bottle of lager, Primal Brewing Company has exciting flavors that will make drinking beer more fun. Try the peanut butter banana stout, or you may also sample the caramel white chocolate or mocha flavors. There is no wrong answer when you are choosing your beer here. Especially not when you are around the very laid back people of Primal Brewing Company.

Waco Ale Company is a "great place to meet up with friends after work to enjoy a beer or two". "The fact" that you "can grab some beers to go is very convenient". It is also a "nice place to cool off from the Texas heat". Also, "staff is wonderful and very helpful". "This place is gonna be a Waco institution in no time with the care they’re putting into every detail of the brewing process". Located in the Shops at Willow Park, Parker County Brewing Company is the “first brewery in the county” since the 1800s. They have a great selection of award winning hand crafted beers brewed on-site, right here, in Parker County Texas. No matter what your favorite brew is, they have something that will make you happy! Born in upstate NY, Owner Josh moved to Texas and started home brewing almost immediately. After over a decade, he partnered up with Ryan Stewart and opened, the Parker County Brewing Company. Ryan began brewing 10 years ago and after perfecting recipes on his 10gal system, he made the official jump to be the head brewer of the company. In addition to their handcrafted beers, Parker County Brewing Company also makes the finest Neapolitan pizza in the county! All pizza on the menu are handmade using only the finest imported ingredients.

Brotherwell Brewing opened in February 2018 to serve the Central Texas community with “locally crafted beer of the highest quality”. Founded by friends Jacob Martinka and David Stoneking, it aims “to bring Central Texans closer to the brewing experience”. True to its commitment to the community, the brewery regularly hosts events at the taproom. Once a “scrap yard” and a “tire jungle”, the spacious taproom played host to many fundraisers, a Shakespeare play, stand-up comedies, live music, and the Eastside Market. According to its owners, “bringing the community in… elevates the place more than we can by ourselves”. Currently with a 15bbl production capacity, Brotherwell beers currently can be found in other bars in Waco. Plans for the future include canning their own products. They don’t serve food at the taproom, but there are food trucks available on most days.

Bold Republic Brewing Company opened in mid-2018 and took the title of first craft brewery in Belton. Established by husband and wife Patrick and Adriane Hodges, the brewery serves a selection of craft beers. They will also serve pizza, bratwurst, hot sandwiches, and oven-baked pretzels, among others. The brewery and restaurant is purposefully small – a nano-brewery by today’s definition. The Hodges hope they can expand later. The brewery has a special beer named after Adriane’s father, Capt. Jack Edwards, said to be the first officer killed in the 1991 Gulf War. Upon learning of an ongoing fund drive to create the $40 million Desert Storm Memorial in Washington, D.C., the couple in his honor created Captain Jack lager. Last July 4, 2019, Bold Republic and the Belton Chamber of Commerce hosted a street party to help raise money for the war memorial fund. The Hodges are sharing the recipe with other breweries who wish to donate their proceeds towards the war memorial.

Opened in June 2015, Bare Arms Brewing is Waco’s first brewpub. It’s a relaxed, welcoming, family-friendly destination owned by Keith Collier and Justin Veach. The brewery has six creations regularly on tap including Creekside American-style lager, Bluecat Ale (a blonde ale), and Java Joule (a coffee stout). They also have a variety of specialty brews, and now offer barrel-aged beers. The name of the brewery comes from the owners’ work philosophy to “simply roll up your sleeves, bare your arms, and go to work” instead of just dreaming to brew one’s beer, or to open a brewpub. With its trailblazing, the brewpub has cemented its place in Waco folk history. Plans are in place for the brewery to can its own beers soon. For now, they welcome special events at their taproom, which has games and AV equipment for their patrons’ enjoyment.

Edgewise Eight Brewing is “a startup brewery” that started operations in 2018. Founded by Barney Ellis and his two sons, Colt and Clif, the three family members were avid former homebrewers. Between them, they’ve been winning awards for their beers since 2016, including a first place finish at the 2016 Great American Beer Festival. In their website bio, they proclaim that they are “hell bent” on producing the highest quality beers. With the many awards they’ve won, it seems they’re on track. The next step would be to open the brewery’s own taproom to add to their production facility. That just might come soon. In August 2019, the city of Weatherford offered the brewery a downtown space on Weatherford’s North Main Street. For now, get their award-winning beers at bars and pubs around Weatherford and Fort Worth.
