Located in Fort Worth’s historical Hell’s Half Acre, Wild Acre Brewing Company’s brewery and taproom are surrounded on one side by a wooded area. This “surprising bastion of nature” is just a mile or two from bustling downtown Fort Worth. The very large climate-controlled 5,000 sq ft taproom also features a landscaped outdoor beer garden. Opened in 2016 by owner/founder John Pritchett, the brewery has announced ongoing expansion plans for the brewery. Unlike other brewery owners and founders, John’s background is in beer distribution. The brewery expands its footprint and distribution capabilities with the opening of the brewery’s second location at the Ridglea Hills neighborhood. The new 3,000 sq ft second location has its own brewing system and restaurant. Expect to find their lineup of quality craft beer such as their Ranch Style Pils and T-Hawk IPA.

For the owners of Fort Brewery & Pizza, pizzas and beers are two of the best things that bring people together. This is especially true when both are taken together. Thus, it’s important for the owners of the brewery and restaurant to honor their family’s legacy in helping build the Fort Worth community. According to the company’s website, they hope the brewery becomes “an inviting place for the whole community”. With a beer named after a family ancestor and said to be the "first baby born in Fort Worth", the company takes their mission to heart. The brewery actually comes in the heels of two other breweries which occupied its premises. The company changed hands in March 2018, and reopened under its new name in June. They currently serve six beers on tap and a selection of wines from Kent & Co. And then there's the delicious pizza, of course.

Located on the south side of downtown Fort Worth, Rahr and Sons Brewing Company opened its doors in 2004. The Rahr family started making beer in America in 1847 after William and Natalie Rahr immigrated from Rhineland, Germany to Manitowoc, Wisconsin. The steadily increasing population of European settlers created a demand for beer of better quality than “the typical kitchen brew” and William knew he was the person to fill the void. Today, Rahr Malting Co. produces and supplies malt and industry-related brewing supplies to roughly “90% of the breweries in the United States.” Inside Rahr and Sons Brewing, you can expect to line up for a pint of beer. Brotherwell Brewing opened in February 2018 to serve the Central Texas community with “locally crafted beer of the highest quality”. Founded by friends Jacob Martinka and David Stoneking, it aims “to bring Central Texans closer to the brewing experience”. True to its commitment to the community, the brewery regularly hosts events at the taproom. Once a “scrap yard” and a “tire jungle”, the spacious taproom played host to many fundraisers, a Shakespeare play, stand-up comedies, live music, and the Eastside Market. According to its owners, “bringing the community in… elevates the place more than we can by ourselves”. Currently with a 15bbl production capacity, Brotherwell beers currently can be found in other bars in Waco. Plans for the future include canning their own products. They don’t serve food at the taproom, but there are food trucks available on most days.

Funky Picnic Brewery & Café founders Samantha Glenn, Collin Zreet, Jenni Hanley, and John Koch believe that a picnic isn’t complete without food and beer. One can’t be more important than the other. This is why they have paired Head Brewer Michael Harper with Chef Josh Rangel. Delicious craft beer paired with amazing appetizers, artisan sandwiches, and desserts. Located in the South Main Village of Fort Worth, the brewery believes in “honoring classic techniques while also experimenting with new styles and terroir-based ingredients”. What this all means is a variety of beers – 16 at last count – that cater to different tastes. Their menu, meanwhile, was carefully designed with a beer pairing in mind. So go ahead – ask them for a recommendation. Not a beer drinker? No problem – they have a selection of wines and hard ciders. There’s even a special kid-friendly menu and non-alcoholic beverages.
