Railport Brewing Company

Craft Brewery in Waxahachie - 10.99 mi

Started out as a labor of love in the kitchen, Railport Brewing Company is a dream come true for its owners. It is the first family owned and operated brewery in Ellis County, Texas that produces hand crafted beers. They are brewing traditional style, “hand-crafted American, Belgian, and German Ales” in house. Their Flagship Brews are available on tap year round and they also offer “small batch and seasonal brews on rotating taps” in the Tasting Room. Every Saturday, they open the brewery & tasting room for you to enjoy their brews by the glass, flight, or take a brewery tour at a special price of $15.00. Brewery Tours include 3 brews of your choice from their Flagship Taps or you can select 1 of your 3 from their Small Batch and Seasonal Taps. Souvenir glass and complementary sample are also included during the tour.

Oak Cliff Brewing Co

Craft Brewery in Dallas - 22.39 mi

Located in the heart of Oak Cliff in historical Tyler Station, Oak Cliff Brewing Company is a production brewery and taproom that offers “fresh and high quality craft beers.” The brewery sits in a 110, 000 square-foot industrial space that has been re-purposed into a co-working haven for creatives, artists and, of course, craft brewers. They have an interesting lineup of craft beers including their core beers - “two lagers, a saison and an IPA” which are truly promising! More seasonal offerings are yet to come such as “desserty imperial stout that is brewed with homemade caramel.” Come taste their awesome selection of craft beers and spend time in the biergarten styled taproom with original murals from Jeff Rogers!

Deep Ellum Brewing Co.

Craft Brewery in Dallas - 24.37 mi

Deep Ellum Brewing Co. has many achievements since it sold its first beer keg in November 11, 2011. It is currently the largest independent North Texas brewery, and Dallas’ first craft brewery. Much like the historic and culturally-significant neighborhood for which it is named, the brewery embodies the “bold, fearless, and unapologetic” spirit that enabled the area to rise and “to refuse to die”. Since the taproom’s opening at 2823 St. Louis Street, the brewery has added a second taproom location in Fort Worth. The Funkytown Fermatorium opened in 2018 at 611 University Drive. The brewery has a lineup of nine year-round beers including the popular Dallas Blonde. They also have several other seasonal beers. Brewery tours are at 1pm only at their Deep Ellum headquarters. In 2018, founder John Reardon sold DEBC to Oskar Blues Brewery, a brand of beers by the Canarchy Craft Beer Collective. Reardon also launched the Deep Ellum Distillery in November 2017.

Westlake Brewing

Craft Brewery in Dallas - 24.54 mi

"Westlake Brewing is a great place with an awesome atmosphere". "Their hazy IPA is great, and you have to try their PB&J pretzel as a snack". "Beers are great and staff is knowledgeable and friendly" too. You will have a "super impressive experience" at this "dog-friendly patio in the heart of Deep Ellum". They have "hands down the BEST southern beer" you will ever have. Also, "keep in mind most Southern craft beer has nothing on other areas of the country, but Westlake is legit". "Strong, but smooth and tasty beers". They also "allow you to bring in your own food". You "will be back for sure!"

The Manhattan Project Beer Company

Craft Brewery in Dallas - 24.63 mi

The Manhattan Project Beer Company’s name is a nod to the scientific way the brewery’s founders create their beers. Of course, the brewery’s name also makes for cool beer names. Consider Particles Collide (a Hazy IPA), Atomic Alliance (a piña colada IPA), and their infamous Bikini Atoll (a Gose). The most fascinating thing about The Manhattan Project Beer Company besides their delicious beers, however, is how the founders upended everyone’s business plan. The founders essentially proved that one didn’t need a taproom or own a brewery to succeed in the brewery business. Their story started with a brew created for a wedding, which led to a win at a homebrewing competition, and finally culminated in their “renting brewing space like a room on Airbnb”. Since those early days in 2016, founders Misty Sanford, Karl Sanford, and Jeremy Brodt have enjoyed a cult-like following. They’re expecting to open their taproom in late 2019.

Braindead Brewing

Craft Brewery in Dallas - 24.63 mi

With multiple awards over the years, BrainDead Brewing is a fixture at Deep Ellum in Dallas. It is Dallas’ first true brewpub (the restaurant brews their beer onsite) and their awards include best burger, best brewery, best bar for beers, best bar, etc., from several Dallas-based groups. Opened in March 2015, the brewery currently offers 35 craft beer varieties. That’s not counting the rotating guest brews on taps, cans, or bottles. For wine enthusiasts, there’s a current selection of six wines. Don’t forget – it’s also an award-winning restaurant with an anytime menu, a lunch menu, and a Sunday brunch menu. Their Coma Burger is mentioned in several blogs and testimonies of its goodness abound. The brains behind BrainDead are Sam Wynne, Jeff Fryman, brewer Andrew Huerter, chef David Peña, and their slogan says it all: “Beer. Food. Good.”
