Off the Farm Food has been providing the community with “healthy and clean meat” since 2013. They specializes in sourcing “100% grass fed and pastured meats” direct from local farms as well as locally crafted dry goods. They partner with farms who raise their animals ethically and practice sustainable farming methods. The animals are raised outside on pasture their entire lives and have the freedom to roam, forage and eat a variety of food that mother nature provides them. The owners created off the farm food to serve as a "one stop shop" for clean food where you can order grass fed/grass finished beef, pastured chicken, pork and lacto-fermented foods.
As the name suggests, Your Health Source is a company that gathers the best produce available. What they do is assemble a healthy box that can be delivered to you, or you can pick it up yourself. The healthy box contains 4 to 5 organic fruits and 9 to 10 organic vegetables. Your Health Source sells organic fruit and vegetables produced in different areas inside and outside the US. Your Health Source is located in Denton, Texas. This is family-owned and operated. The food is high quality, fresh, and nutritious, but inexpensive. Your Health Source gives discounts and donations. Your Health Source also accepts requests for sponsorships.
Started in September of 2016, A group of young farmers and farming advocates began to meet on a monthly basis to discuss the opportunities and benefits that might be created through working together, rather than in competition. From these meetings Central Texas Farmers Coop was formed that was “jointly owned and democratically controlled by small and beginning farmers” in Hays, Caldwell, Blanco, and Travis county. As a farmers cooperative, they are working together to provide Central Texans with “greater access to an abundant amount of diverse, local, and fresh foods.” The Central Texas Farmers Coop currently operates a multi-farm Community Supported Agriculture program in the Spring and Fall in San Marcos, TX.
