Draught House Pub and Brewery

The Draught House Pub and Brewery has had a long history. Celebrating its 50^th year in 2019, the first owners were Wayne and Gay Overton in 1969. They ran the pub for 25 years until Wayne passed on. The building and the pub changed hands a couple of times until current owner Josh Wilson took over in 1999. In the intervening years, with a brewery system installed in 1995, the pub started brewing its own beers, and the number of taps increased to 74. Batch Craft Beer & Kolaches started in 2017 as a family-owned and operated kolache bakery, taproom, and retail craft beer shop. Founders and brothers Noah and Josh Lit introduced Austinites to their preference of downing their kolaches with their favorite beers. Batch's beer selection came from local craft breweries and European breweries. In addition, they also had cans and bottles from many breweries, and coffee for non-beer drinkers. Texas Beer Company is one of those success stories that really took off because of the community. Founded by J.D. Gins and Ian Davis, this Taylor-based brewery counts a gold medal win at the 2018 Great American Beer Festival for their Pecos Amber Lager among their many achievements.
