Cactus Land Brewing Company was named after the prickly pear cactus growing on the 7-acre property it is situated on. Husband-and-wife Dustin and Erica Teague started, just like other brewers before them, with homebrewing. Open since 2017 and located “in the middle of nowhere”, Wild Bunch Brewery announces its presence once you see its handwritten sign. Brew master Jarle Lillemoen owns and operates Wild Bunch Brewing Company. He and Managing Member Jamie Caras both hold doctoral degrees in biochemistry, which should come in handy at the brewery. Calling his beer the “best damn beer in Texas”, Jarle only uses “high quality ingredients” in his “100% unfiltered beers”. Not bad for a brewery that’s designed and hand-built by Jarle himself. Finally, prior to establishing Wild Bunch, Jarle was the master distiller at Bone Spirits Distillery in Smithville.
