Established in 1987, Barton Creek Farmers Market claims the distinction of being the original farmers market in Austin. It has garnered top 10 and even top 5 spots at national awards. It has won Austin’s Best Farmers Market many times. After operating for more than 30 years, it's still going strong every Saturday.
The market is pet-friendly and features live original music from local artists. It's well recommended by the community they serve with some enthusiasts claiming the produce they buy from here “lasts twice as long as those store bought”
. Don't forget to bring cash as some vendors don’t accept credit cards.
