Caroline GrapeContent Producer
I am a writer, food-enthusiast and newly-established farmer.
At Texas Real Food, I help produce the regular articles and product recommendations diving deep into finding the best resources on sustainable eating, living and farming, as well as recommending podcasts, reviewing films, and writing about books. As a writer and content producer for TRF, sharing information and experiences in an engaging way is at the heart of ensuring we do our bit to increase food literacy, and inspire more people to think about what goes into their favorite meals.
When I’m not writing or thinking about food and the ingredients that go into it, I’m working on establishing a market and cut-flower garden with my sister. I believe whole-heartedly in the miracles of eating good food together, and am equally fascinated by how beautiful ingredients can emerge from the simple mix of sun, soil and water. Along the way of starting a farm, I’m hoping to learn more about our relationship with the food we eat, and why it’s more important than ever.
What’s your favorite ‘real’ food or Texas staple?
If you couldn’t tell already, I’m a big lover of any kind of food so it’s hard to pick a favorite. That being said, I definitely have a soft spot for TexMex and tacos – especially the slow-roasted pork al pastor variety, preferably topped with a zingy green salsa.
