Delta County is a county located in Texas and its largest city, as well as the county seat, is Cooper. The county itself was founded in 1870 and was named “Delta” for its triangular shape. The Caddo tribe was living in the area and had to relocate in the 18th century because of diseases and threats from other tribes nearby.
