Known for its Custom Cut Meat, Famous Rub and Housemade Sausages, Old Town Market was established by Bob Knowles and Dickey Grant in 1977. They offer a “wide variety of cuts at a high yield choice, prime and Akaushi (Wagyu) beef.” They also carries roughly 30 different variants of sausage, “all made in house on site.” The service of the Market is kind and personal, and the lunch crowd sits together at one long communal table. The environment is laid-back — a nice break from the stuffiness of the city. In addition to a selection of quality meats, this butcher shop is known for seasonings. They also have an assortment of Amish cheeses and butter.
