The Bledsoe is an unincorporated community located in Cochran County in Texas close to the New Mexican border. Bledsoe is on the west side of Lubbock in the United States. In 1925, Bledsoe came into life after serving as a terminus to Santa Fe and Panhandle railroad. The strategic position of the area was the factor that made Bledsoe an essential part of a shipping station for cattle and other agricultural products. As a result, this community gained a significant prosperity from railway operations. The community would later be named Bledsoe in remembrance of Samuel T. Bledsoe, the line’s president.
