A "wonderful store, best prices on prescriptions, perfect gifts for the whole family, huge toy and candy selection and they usually have the lowest prices". They also have "a lot of pre-workouts and protein shakes for cheap". Also dubbed as Denton’s “secret gem”. Natural Grocers is a great place to grab some organic fruits and vegetables. Their selection of local produce is respectable as well as packaged goods. They have an excellent dairy section as well as a nice selection of vitamins and supplements. They also carry a range of organic and natural products. Some of them might be pricey but they're worth every cent. They even have some vegan meats! Yes, you've read that correctly, vegan meats!

Doug’s Country Market is the retail and delivery arm of Ponder, Texas based S&G Farms. Doug and Louise Swafford own and operate both the farm in Ponder and the market in Bartonville. Their journey to put up their own food source started when Doug suffered from an acute illness and became ill after eating anything store-bought. Even so-called “organic’ food made him sick. They decided to raise or grow their own food “the old way” and soon, family and friends started buying Doug’s beef, pork, and vegetables. In 2011, Doug started selling his products commercially. The rest, as they say, is history.Today, Doug’s Country Market products are a favorite in the North Texas area. They also deliver in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, and an online store is available for orders. They also carry products from other Texas and out-of-state farmers and food producers who adhere to his method of making food safer to eat.
The Whole Foods Market (Highland Village) has "a great size to walk around and actually be able to find things pretty quickly". Although "the shop is small but they have so many things that it's worth a visit". "Fresh produce is great here, especially the harder to find items like dandelion greens". "They have a large selection of organic vegetables" and "very nice top quality" products. Their "wine and beer bar in the back of the store is a great asset and reasonable prices". This is also a "nice clean store" with "friendly people". "They continue to offer friendly personalized service and make the customer feel their needs are important". They also "both go the extra mile and deserved to be recognized". Also, "their fresh, made to order Magherita pizza is the best thing EVER!!"
While there are already many vegan stores and boutiques dedicated to plant-based products, what I admire about Plant Based Grocery is the conscious effort of the store to look for items major retailers do not carry, which are usually products by small businesses. This way, they are prioritizing helping small businesses so that they can grow a following and thrive. As for Plant Based Grocery, no one leaves empty-handed. The store is always well-supplied and fully-stocked.
