KFire Winery and Vineyard is a "hidden gem in the middle of the countryside where you can enjoy good wine and the company of locals". "A quaint winery" which is "located just north of Liberty Hill in Bertram off 183N and County Road 212". The owner is a "retired fireman, and you will find touches of former fire fighting equipment and artifacts throughout the tasting room". If "you enjoy firefighter items and good wine then you need to find your way to them". Their "Cadet" has a "very original flavor for a blush wine". Their "Ladder 19" is also "excellent", "bold and flavorful". Make sure to "bring your FD patch" so you can "trade it in for a free glass of wine". You can see "several already up on the wall with some from other states as well".

Knox Circle Winery / Froggy Wines

Knox Circle Winery / Froggy Wines is a "Very cute little shop" just North of Huntsville, Texas, off of Highway 19, in Walker County.  This is the first winery to open in Walker County. Also, the legal name of the winery is Knox Circle Winery (the street the winery is located) but they are doing business as Froggy Wines. Froggy stood for “Forever Rely On Gods Gifts to You" and they have made many award-winning wines as non-commercial winemakers. "They don't grow the grapes" but "they buy them and make their own wine". "The people are awesome and very helpful and knowledgeable about the wine". This is "definitely worth the trip even if to just taste some great local wine". A winery with "really nice family" who runs it and can even have "time" to "explain the many facets of winemaking that create a work of art". A "small and friendly winery" that can also "cater events and parties at their homey location".

Kuhlman Cellars

"If you are passing through Fredericksburg (about 1.5 hrs outside of San Antonio) recommend stopping at Kuhlman Cellars for a tasting". Its "location has a really unique feature in its rooftop deck" with a "view and breeze" that are so "lovely". "The wine tasting" is "very enjoyable" and it "comes with food pairings" that are "spot-on with the wine". The sommelier is very "knowledgeable" and the wines are "impressive and the savory bites" will "enhance the experience". Even if you are "not a wine drinker", you will "absolutely" be able to "love their white wine, Calcaria". You may even end up joining their "wine club on the spot" with "no pressure to do so".

Lavaca Bluffs Vineyard and Winery

Lavaca Bluffs Vineyard and Winery is a "very nice and peaceful place", this place sits on the Bluff overlooking the Lavaca River. It has a "beautiful and relaxing atmosphere" with "great selection of wines to choose from". Their "Sangria Blush is to die for". They are now the largest, oldest and only winery in Jackson County Texas. With "excellent service and wine" even for a "kind of a spur of the moment side trip" but definitely a "great choice". You will also enjoy "some of the historical information around Port Lavaca as well". You "will definitely go back" and "you won’t leave without a bottle or two".

Lewis Wines

Lewis Wines has "a comfortable outdoor area to spend time with friends over a bottle of wine". It has a "tasting room with a large covered patio and beautiful view". You will find "great hospitality" and the "servers" are "knowledgeable about their wine and winery". They also serve some bread "but also allow you to bring your own food to eat there". You can also enjoy "some lawn games, such as corn hole". "If you're coming from Austin to Fredericksburg, kick off your trip with a visit to Lewis" and you may end up having favorite wines such as "Chenin Blanc, Hill Country Rose, and the Tempranillo". "All of the wines" are "really good".

Longhorn Cellars

Opened in early 2018, "Longhorn Cellars owners Dr. Michael and Deanna Dickey are no strangers to wine". You will find "the tasting room" to be "lovely with cowhide chairs and decor". "Syrah, the Alicante Bouschet, and the Viognier" are just some of the "nice selection" of "their own wines, with interesting combinations of grapes". There is also "great live music" and "they even had a table of the most amazing homemade gumbo and beans'n'rice". Expect to see a Longhorn cattle and a white donkey when you "stop by for a visit and a tasting". You will not be "disappointed" because "their wines, staff and winery dogs make it feel like a home away from home".

Los Pinos Ranch

Los Pinos Ranch is a "beautiful vineyard tucked away in Camp County" is a "good place for a date, getaway weekend, or something new to see/do for sightseeing if you're in the area" of Piney Woods.  When you visit the winery, you will be "impressed with the well-maintained vineyards and grounds" and you can "walk through the vineyard which is fun and interesting". They serve "amazing" wines and "they even have two of their wines available frozen - Frose’ is the best!" You will have "a lot of fun and a relaxing time" even if this is the "first vineyard" that you will visit, it will not "disappoint" you. Lost Draw Cellars is "highly" recommended, "for those looking for a family joint without all the bougie vibe". You will enjoy "all of the wines" and will even "LOVED a new limited edition Tannat" that is "aged in bourbon barrels". "This is a very attractive venue that is a short drive from nearly anywhere in Fredericksburg". A truly wonderful experience with "top-notch service". "Hospitality, not snobbery" because even if you are not "members of their wine club", you will be "welcomed here". They also "specialize in some unusual varietals" that are also "yummy such as the Marsanne, Roussanne", and "Sangiovese". Also, "make sure to try the Tempranillo".

Lucky Vines Vineyard and Winery

"You cannot go wrong by stopping by Lucky Vines Vineyard and Winery" on this family-owned, small-town Texas vineyard and winery located in Dublin, Texas. The "tasting room is modern, light, airy, and very comfortable space with indoor and outdoor seating". They have "Veldheizen cheese boards" to pair with your wine tasting especially with the "best Voignier". Make sure to "take a day trip to Erath county and check out this new winery on highway 67!" You can taste "their estate Beginners Luck Syrah" or even the "excellent Alicante" and even the "Viognier" that is "deserving" for any "red wine drinker" but will also be loved by anyone.

"Majek Vineyard and Winery is a cute little winery well hid from the main roads", "owned and operated by a Czech family" who owns "the land since the 1800s". They are located in the scenic rolling hills off I-10, near Houston, Austin, and San Antonio. The place has a "lovely setting" enhanced by the "beauty of the vineyard". A "perfect backdrop for the friendly staff and great wines" that you will experience. There is "a variety of red and white, sweet and dry are available on their menu". Visit and taste the "Opal wine" which is "a blend of Orange Muscat and Muscat Blanc". Try the "Cardinal's Choice" which is "a sweet red that's tastes great on a hot day". You will "definitely be back" for the "beautiful scenery and very tasteful wine selection".

Their winemaking business "flourished" which started as a "hobby". The atmosphere is "eclectic, friendly", and they have "very good" wines that you will find it "tough to choose just a few to take home". They even "have the best Merlot" that you ever "taste". This is a "great experience" especially "if you are into sweet fruit wines".

Mendelbaum Cellars

You must include Mendelbaum Cellars when you have a "weekend getaway in Fredericksburg" and "the wine here is TOP NOTCH!" It is "unique" because "it is Israeli" where you will be able "to taste Israeli wine". This is a "location" since it is "not just a winery because they also offer cabins for nightly rental". Its "owner is from Israel so the wine selection and olive oil selection is impeccable". Their "rotunda tasting room" is "gorgeous" and is "indoor with bars, live music, and a great atmosphere". They "offer a lot of options" and also have "Texas wines" which are "pretty good too". You also get to see "LLAMAS" on the "property".

Their "dry reds are deep and flavorful with dessert wines to match along with a broad selection of unique whites and fancy wines as well". You can also stay for a "few days" since there are "cabins" that are "available" and "for the RVers, this is a Harvest Host sight". "This winery is just GORGEOUS" and "it is seriously stunning" plus "their Ports are off the charts good!" Moravia Vineyard & Winery is located in the beautiful Moravia hills between Schulenburg and Hallettsville. A "beautiful place" which is just a "short and picturesque drive from Schulenburg". When you arrive, you will see "a comfortable space". You can "either use the bar or sit at a comfortable table" while sipping "a great mix of whites and reds that mostly hit in the mid-range between fruit-forward and dry" and "listening to soothing music". You "might be astonished at the pleasant hints of buttery notes" from the 2013 "dry Blanc du Bois". Also, the "2014 dry Blanc du Bois" is "more citrusy with grapefruit notes as well as crisp texture". Established in 2017, Murphy Creek Cellars is a "very quaint little shop that has a very nice selection of Texas Wines". In addition to "featuring Texas wines, Lisa has three wines of her own" that "reflect her dogs’ names". The "2015 Jessie" is a "red blend" "of 75% Merlot, 15% Tempranillo and 10% Barbera" and has a "full mouthfeel of chocolate, blackberries, and a nice leather finish". The "2015 Murphy’s Merlot" is a "full-bodied red wine" which "shines with big cherry notes and an extra-long dry finish". The "2017 Katie’s Miscela" is a "blend of 40% Aglianico, 30% Tempranillo, 15% Petit Syrah, 8% Syrah, and 7% Malbec"."Well balanced, has good character, very bright fruit" with a "bright cherry finish". Try these wines and other "amazing selection" of wines on this "must-visit spot on the square in Mason".

Naca Valley Vineyard

Naca Valley Vineyard is the only full-production winery in Nacogdoches with an accompany vineyard. A "true gem to Nacogdoches and The East Texas area". Narrow Path Winery's commitment is producing exceptional wines that make you want to sit and savor. "No hoity-toity frills, just great wine, and genuinely authentic experience". They have two locations at which you can taste their wine. The main winery and vineyard are located just south of Stonewall at 6331 South Ranch Road 1623. The downtown Fredericksburg tasting room is located at 113 East Main Street. Visit them and you may end up "purchasing the 2017 Arris (75% Sangiovese, 25% Tannat)", a "surprisingly smooth and tasteful" wine. The "Dreamchaser Blanc and Dreamchaser (Merlot)" are also "reasonably sweet but also fragrant and floral". They also have "different blends of wine which are very unique and different compared to most of the Moscato found pretty much everywhere in Fredericksburg".

O’Farrell Country Vineyard

O'Farrel Country Vineyard and winery is "a hidden gem" that is "tucked away in deep Northeast Texas backroads and pine trees". A "unique winery with fun and informative service" with a tasting room that features muscadine and fruit wines. Visit them and try "their wine o’rita and the goat cheese and apple plate" while you sit "on the porch sipping wine just yards away from the beautiful vineyard". Almost all the wines are "made with muscadine grapes" and "fresh fruits aged in stainless steel tanks". Check out their website for the schedule of the grape picking activity available in August and September. This includes several varieties of black and bronze muscadines.
