Red Heron Farm is a family farm located in Elgin, Texas on the post-oak Savannah, 25 miles east of Austin. Specializing in serving the local community fresh vegetables, jellies, honey and pasture-raised meats. They "no longer have a FB account" but they still have a website and an Instagram account. You can see them participate in Austin Community College Elgin Campus Holiday Market too. They also have ‘Paris market’ carrots which can become one of your "favorite carrots, to grow & eat!" Seco Creek Farm

Seco Creek Farm is a farm that has great love for their goats. They believe that happy goats produce great products, and we agree. They have "Nice Looking Goats" and they have "exciting breedings going there!" They strive to develop an excellent herd by focusing on great bloodlines and a strong herd health program. All goats are Caprine Arthritis Encephalitis (CAE) negative and Caseous lymphadenitis (CL) free. They also have a yearly test for their goats. The owners attend every time their goats give birth. Then, the kids are separated from their dams and hand-raised. The Nubian milkers are fed a ration consisting of LaCuesta dairy pellets, 16% mare and foal ration, beet pulp, and Chaffhaye. Their goats always have access to freshwater, minerals, and quality hay. The owners also participate in linear appraisal and DHIR (Dairy Herd Improvement Registry) programs.

They specialize in growing Rio Star grapefruit, several oranges varieties along with Meyer lemons, Texas SpringSweet 1015 yellow onions, red and white onions. There are also a variety of vegetables, beets, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, sweet corn, kale, and super sweet strawberries. Order online at their website and for sure, "can't wait to enjoy our huge box of citrus!" is all that you can say. Split Horizon Eco-Stead is an Eco-Stead ran by The Pafford Family. Everything that they sell is hand-made, home-grown, or promotes self-reliance and sustainability. "The spaghetti squash" that they have is "so good!" You will become "fans" if it is your "first time trying it". They also have zucchini, yellow, and pattypan squash. There is also a nice amount of cactus plus tons of okra red and green. They also have cucumbers, swiss chard, lettuce, and green tomatoes. Starseed Farm

Starseed Farm is a family-operated Micro-farm located on the edge of the Sam Houston National Forest in Cleveland, Texas. They produce naturally grown organic vegetables and herbs as well as herbal medicine from local plant flora. There is also a small rabbitry at Starseed Farm. You can find Rexes (broken black, broken brown, red, blue, opal, black, and Otter), Californians, Mini Rex, and a pair of Tamuks, a newer breed known for heat tolerance and excellent meat production. These "Bun Buns!" are so "cute". They also stock local goods including raw grass-fed dairy, yogurt, organic bone stocks, in addition to providing fresh, organic, non-GMO baked goods. They also offer free-range eggs, Kombucha, herbal salves, and tinctures.

Sunny Knoll Farm is a multigenerational family farm. Their crops include Blueberries which are fresh in May and June and frozen year-round. The owner of this farm is "quite knowledgeable and her products smell amazing". The "raw goat milk soap is fabulous" and the "men’s soap smells so good". Their "other soaps make you feel like you’re showering with lotion". They also have cage-free, pastured eggs for sale as well as Australorpe/Orpington cross pullets and roosters. The Mushroom Factory LLC is a mushroom farm in Magnolia, Texas that grows gourmet mushrooms. Oh, these mushrooms are "absolutely gorgeous!" Chestnut mushroom, Shiitake, Lion's Mane, and Oyster mushroom are just some of them. And the best part is, "not only do they look beautiful" but "they are very tasty" as well! You won't be needing a lot of ingredients as you can simply sauté them in "butter, salt, and pepper" and you're good to go! On top of that, they also offer a variety of eggs like ducks, chickens, and quails.

You can catch all these goodies at Eleanor's Farmers Market, every Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and at the Bay Area Farmers Market, every Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

The Srubar Cottage

Started as a small family farm, Srubar Cottage has grown to be a favorite of many Downtown Farmers’ Market regulars. They offer a wide selection of vegetables, including tomatoes, carrots, potatoes, eggplants and peppers. They also sell jellies and jams made from their own produce as well as produce from other local growers. They have a unique offerings like coffee jelly and one of the popular items they have are their “chocolate chip cookies”. They’re looking to expand their baked goods selection soon with new cookie flavors like white chocolate macadamia nut and pecan chocolate chunk. In addition to the products that they usually sell , Srubar Cottage also brings specialty treats during the special Holiday Markets. They are also offering full breed Labradors, Golden Retrievers and Bernese Mountain Dogs from great bloodlines. Most of all, they are also proud of their fresh chocolate-brown eggs. Their farm is also home to 5 beehives with close to 70,000 hardworking bees which is why they sell raw honey. They already have a Bed & Breakfast. Wylderose Farm is a garden and orchard built on the principles of organic gardening. The owner was a former speech therapist. Their property started with a barn, a well, and a pole barn. From small beginnings, it became fruitful. Their fruit orchard includes peach, crabapple, plum, and fig trees. Their fruit garden has blackberries, raspberries, and strawberries. The vegetable garden contains tomatoes, squash, onions, corn, potatoes, English peas, sugar snap peas, beans, carrots, radishes, Brussels sprouts, broccoli, eggplant, peppers, and many herbs. You can find their produce for sale at local Farmers' Markets such as the Bellville Farmers Market and by direct subscriptions. The owners of Your Local Farmacy "always deliver fantastic produce". This farm is about a two-acre property filled with vegetables, and a few fruits mixed in. "Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food" by Hippocrates is their guiding principle. The Murphy family who owns this place never use any pesticides, herbicides, or equipment when growing and harvesting their produce. They even pull their weeds and pick the vegetables themselves and upkeep the garden with just a garden hoe and shovel. They have much farm-fresh produce such as unique heirloom variety vegetables which you can check out on their website. You can contact them directly if you want to buy. Zillmer Farms has "super friendly folks" and "great produce". Blackberry season normally runs from May through November every year. Besides blackberries, they also grow other seasonal fruits and vegetables. The owner, "Mr. Zillmer" is "super sweet". He "has such a lovely farm and he tends his garden with such care!" It is "like a little piece of heaven". Check out their website for available fruits and vegetables that you will surely buy. Contact them and visit their place and be able to "picked up some of there awesome Blackberry Jelly" and "the strawberry preserves". You will "love them". You will "be buying from him again!!"
