Review of Tomball Farmers Market by TexasRealFood

When the Tomball Farmers Market first opened, the organizers probably had no idea they would turn out to be Harris County’s largest year-round weekly market. They humbly started with just 10 vendors during their debut in June 2008, and quickly went from being a seasonal monthly market to a bi-weekly market, and then a weekly market. In 2012, the market went weekly all year-round, rain or shine. These days, they easily reach 60 vendors. They also allocate a dedicated booth free of charge for a local public service or charity group. All throughout, it continues to provide a gathering place for the community of vendors and shoppers, and to strengthen the local economy by keeping shopper’s dollars within the local economy.Pro tip: Bring some cash (not all vendors can process card transactions) and a good-sized cooler to store your purchases. There’s a beautiful green space nearby for picnics.
