Galena Park is a city located in Harris County in Texas. At the 2010 census, the city’s population was 10,887. in 1833 Issac Batterson and his family came to the area. The area where Galena Park is located now was known as Clinton and it began as a settlement in 1835. Clinton tried to establish a post office in 1935, but couldn’t as there is another town in Texas with the same name. That is why the city’s name was changed to Galena Park. The U.S Bureau stated that the town’s total area is exactly five square miles, all of it land. Galena Park’s education system is distributed by the Galena Park Independent School District.
