Los Indios is a town located in Cameron County in Texas. At the 2010 census, the town’s population was 1,083. Los Indios is a border town. Los Indios’ beginning dates back to 1913 next to San Benito and Rio Grande Valley Railway. The post office of the town was established in September that year, a year later, a general store was also opened. U.S Highway 281 passes by the post office. The U.S Bureau stated that the town’s total area is 1.7 square miles all of it is land. San Benito Consolidated Independent School District distributes Los Indios’ public educational school system.
