Morse is a CDP and also an unincorporated community situated in Hansford County in Texas. As of the 2010 census, the community had a population of 147 residents. Two cattlemen named Robert and James H. Cator were the first settlers of the area in the 1870s. Even though they settled in the 1870s, a community wasn’t formed all until North Texas and Santa Fe Railroad arrived in 1929. The name of the town was given for Charles A. Morse who was a railroad engineer. The post office was granted that same year. In 1977, the town of Morse and Pringle both merged and formed a community of around 150 residents. The CDP has a total area of 0.5 square miles according to the U.S Bureau.
