Pandora is part of the San Antonio Metropolitan Statistical Area. It is an unincorporated community in Wilson County, Texas, and had an estimated population of 125 in 2010. It is situated at the junction of U.S. Highway 87 and FM 1107 in eastern Wilson County. This is approximately 20 miles northeast of Floresville and 46 miles southeast of Downtown San Antonio. The town has the ZIP code of 78143 even though it is unincorporated. Not much was known on the origins of its name but Pandora was probably first settled in the mid-nineteenth century. It was established in the late 1890s as a stop on the San Antonio and Gulf Railroad. Wesley Irvin opened the first store there around 1900, and a post office was established in 1906.
