Round Mountain is a town in Blanco County, Texas, United States. It has a population of 181 according the last census. It has an area of 2.3 square miles and all of it is land. The climate in the town is hot and humid in the summer with mild winters. The community was founded in 1854 and it was mostly a stop between the cities of Fredericksburg and Austin. It was incorporated in 1989 and it’s now in the National Registry of Historic Places. The cabin of the founder Joseph Bird is one of its most important landmarks.
