Alice City is located in Jim Wells County in the US state of Texas. It’s also the country’s county seat. The city population was 19,104 in 2010 as per the results of a census carried out in the same year. The city was founded in 1888 and named Bandana and later renamed Kleberg. The current name, Alice, was in honor of Alice King Kleberg. Alice was Richard King’s daughter, the latter being the founder of the King Ranch. Alice city and its environs have abundant wildlife. As such, it’s a popular spot for outdoor activities such as bird watching, fishing, and hunting.
