Bryan is a US city located in Brazos County in the state of Texas. The city had a population of 76,201, according to the 2010 census. The city’s 2019 population estimate was 86,276. The city borders College Station City to its south. The area around the city was a land grant by Spain to Moses Austin. Stephen Austin, Austin’s son played a significant role in bringing Settlers to the area. Among these settlers was one William Bryan, Stephen Austin’s nephew. In 1866, Brazos County’s seat was changed in favor of Bryan, and a post office opened in the area the same year.
