Danciger is an unincorporated community in Brazoria County. It was established in 1933, after the Danciger Oil and Refining Company inaugurated the Pledger Dome gas field. A year later, the town had a post office and in 1939, it had two businesses and the population was reported at 150. Although the number of residents had doubled between 1974 and 1990, the town remained to have two businesses in 1978. However, the number of businesses two folded in the early 1990s. Despite the slight increase in population in the year 2000, the town went back with two businesses.
