Gail is an unincorporated community situated in Borden County in Texas. The community lies on U.S Highway 180 and Farm to Market Road 669. Gail is the county seat of Borden county. The population of the community was 231 as of the 2010 census. The Inventor of condensed milk, Gail Borde Jr. is why both the community and the county are named the way they are. Gail Mountain is situated just on the southwest edge of the town. The community’s altitude is 2,576 feet, and the town has a total area of 2.02 square miles according to the U.S Bureau.
