Lindsay is a city located in Cooke County in Texas. As of the 2010 census, the town’s population was 1,018. The town is located beside U.S Route 82. Lindsay firstly is a German Catholic city. The official date of Lindsay’s foundation was March 25th in 1892. The town was not incorporated until 1959. The city kept some of its German traditions. An annual Oktoberfest is held in the town, the area’s main source of income is dairy producing and oil industry. The U.S Bureau states that the city’s total area is 1.6 square miles. Lindsay is distributed by its own Independent School District.
