Stratford is a city in Sherman County, Texas, United States. It has a population of a bit over 2.000. It is the county seat of Sherman County. The city is named for Stratford, Virginia, the boyhood home of Robert Edward Lee, the Confederate commanding general. It has about 700 households and they earn $37.000 a year on average.
