Garciasville is a CDP located in Starr County in Texas. It is a newly formed CDP with a population of 46 residents as of the 2010 census. The community used to be a shipping point for Spanish speaking ranchers in the 1800s. The post office was established in 1897 and was named Garcias. It closed in 1918 and opened five years later with the name of Garciasville. In 1950, the town reached a population of 50 residents in the community. There are still a few businesses working in the area, but they’re mostly conducted in McAllen and Rio Grande City.
