Goldsboro is an unincorporated community situated in three counties: Taylor County, Runnels County, and in Coleman County in Texas. The Handbook of Texas states that the community’s population is just around 30 residents. The community started with the arrival of Pecos Valley and Northern Texas Railroad in 1910. The town was named for the hope that there is gold in the hills. There was gold-covered ores in the hills, but they were of no value. There were only two registered populations of the town. Around one hundred residents were recorded in the 1940s and 30 as of the year 1900 which is still being used.
