The town of Rochester lies at the intersection of Farm Road 617 and State Highway 6 in Haskell County in the US state of Texas, United States. The town was founded in 1906. The establishment of this town was facilitated by the construction Kansas City, Mexico and Orient Railway. The area was named after Rochester, New York. The area was named by A.B Carothers who gave out land to be used as a townsite and the rail’s Right of Way. The establishment of this area led to the development of businesses, schools, and churches. In 1922, this area was incorporated.
