Braman Winery is a combined winery and brewery that has a "rustic, industrial, and masculine" environment on a "large building with lots of patio seating". The inside has "tv's and tables for relaxing with a bar for wine and a bar for beer" and the outside has "multiple tables for enjoying live music, food, and spirits". "They don't have a kitchen but a food truck is at the entrance or you can bring your food in". "Their beer is really good and their red wine is good" too. You can choose to have some of their wines including "Zinfandel, Riesling, and Cabernet" for a "relaxing night" or just "play Bingo on Thursdays" or attend a "trivia night". "Dogs are more than welcome outside" too.

Briar Creek Vineyards "is a very friendly place". The owner is "incredibly sweet" and "makes you feel very welcome". It is also "great to hear how they took a chance on their dreams and started a winery". "Enjoy the amazing atmosphere of their wine tasting room".  Their "dry reds are incredible and one of a kind" and they also have "great wines and some fruity but not too sweet". Try their "award-winning Syrahndipity" which has an "amazing" taste.

This boutique winery began in historic Sour Lake in early 2000. Their wines are blended from original Sicilian recipes. "Beautiful venue, and a charming host, definitely worth it to visit". Their award-winning unique specialty is "Other than Standard Raisin Wine" which "almost has a cognac sipping quality". They have "full, authentic, and smooth flavors" and "stunning fruit wines" such as the "Three Rivers Red Wine" which is "a blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc".

Brushy Creek Vineyards and Winery is a "great local vineyard and winery" that is located between Decatur and Bowie. They have a "rustic location" so you can truly "enjoy Texas wines the way they should be in the Texas sunshine with a few rustic surroundings". This is "a must-visit and a short drive from the DFW metroplex".  They are also a "pet-friendly place" with a "very quaint tasting room and deck area to sit and enjoy looking over the vineyards as you sip a glass of your favorite". Be "in love with the Trebianno white wine" that "has a nice crispness with a little citrus undertone". Their award-winning Texas wines are not generally available in retail stores.

It is located in the Chalk Mountain region, on a rocky portion of the Texas ranch land which they have chosen to emulate the vineyards of Italy. The place is "well worth the drive out to Hico". "The big rock gates are easy to find after pulling off the main road that runs to Hico". The ambiance in the tasting room "is very impressive", "very open to the beautiful ranch land that surrounds it". "The flights are a fun way to discover the different wines they have to offer".

Established in 2016, Burklee Hill is proud to be a family and locally owned vineyard, producing 100% Texas wine. The name, Burklee, honors the owner’s grandfathers, Burk and Eddie “Lee.” "Excellent wine and the owners are fantastic". They have "an exceptional selection of locally sourced wines" including an "award-winning Malbec" and they also "are serving tasty cheese trays, flatbreads, and charcuterie that’s so delicious". You can also "enjoy the patio" and "great music on the weekends and showcase local talent".

It is "a hidden gem with no signage" with a "French flag" and "a white pickup parked by the entrance" which is part of their "advertising". They are a leader in producing premier wines from 100% Texas grapes.  Their "tasting room is intimate and perfect for private tours" so be sure to book a reservation. It is "a wonderful respite from the Texas heat; mostly filled with barrels, a small tasting bar up front, and a table that seats 8 for the winemaker's tastings in the back". The wine "is a great mix of old-world funk with deep soul" and "because of the high quality, the prices are higher". "But it is worth every cent. This is great wine!" and "they are dog-friendly" too.

Cannon Creek Vineyards' tasting room is located on-site at the vineyard which is visible in from the road, just 7 miles south of the Square in Canton. The tasting room is located in the Red Barn adjacent to the farmhouse "with great views of the vineyards". This is a "fabulous place to enjoy a glass of wine or a bottle". It has a "refreshing and cozy atmosphere". This is a "great little place" "to unwind and relax for the day". They have a "nice selection of dry, semi-sweet, and sweet reds and whites". The owners are"very informative of the wine specifics" and passionate about their craft. They harvest grapes at their peak, then ferment slow and cool to bring out their bold flavors and predominate aromas.

Cap Rock Winery is "under new ownership (English Newsom Cellars)" and it is "worth visiting if headed up I-27". "This winery is quiet, picture beautiful, and a winery where one goes not only to sample good wines but just to chill with a glass of wine" such as "2018 Roussanne" which is "great on the palate". They also "have estate wines, wines with grapes sourced completely from the High Plains and others that blend wines from near El Paso". They also have a wine club "that anyone can join. You get to pick out what wines you like - and they will ship it to your house".

Carmela Winery has a tasting room inspired by ones in Napa and Sonoma, California, but just North of Dallas. It is a "nice little spot in downtown Celina run by a father and son" with "comfortable surroundings" and "staff to make you feel like family when you visit". Carter Creek Winery Resort & Spa is a "beautiful place with a very cozy Hill Country feel". Their property features a tasting room, a restaurant, an onsite microbrewery, and an outdoor event center. They are planting new grapevines already. They have "other nearby vineyards" that "are thriving" and they are still making "excellent Texas wines". Aside from offering wines, they also have spacious accommodations as well as spa treatments, an outdoor swimming pool, and a state-of-the-art fitness center, making it easy to unwind. Cassaro Winery is a family-owned business that's located a few minutes from downtown Ovilla in Ellis County, Texas. This is a beautifully renovated farmhouse with several tables inside so you can enjoy a wide variety of award-winning wines. They also have nice outdoor seating areas with a lot of beautiful shade trees and a larger than life fire pit. They also have meat and cheese trays and other tasty treats to go with your wine. They also have free music every Friday night.
