The Aiken unincorporated community is located in the part of Floyd County in Texas, US. The community, which is located north of Floydada city, lies along the US Route 70. It is elevated at about 3,300 feet above sea level. Although the community is unincorporated, it boasts of a post office whose zip code is 79221. The community was founded by Frank Aiken, a landowner who built it along the Santa Fe Railway. Aiken would later name the community after himself. Through Aiken, a post office was established in the community in 1922. By 1947, the community had 110 residents, a school, and four businesses.
