Edmonson town in situated in Hale County in the US state of Texas. It recorded a population of 111 in 2010, as per the 2010 census. A post office was opened in the area and named Wadsworth, later changing to Running Water in 1891. The same year, the town was platted by W. W. Edmonson and a school built. As fate would have it, the railroad bypassed the town. In 1928, the town’s businesses were relocated three miles north. Two years later, Running Water post office was relocated to Edmonson and renamed Edmonson. As a result, Running Water was then abandoned.
